Overwhelmed as a Solo Entrepreneur

Rob Goyette is the owner and CEO of Robert Goyette, LLC. He helps coaches grow their business and teaches them how to earn money with marketing funnels.

As a solo entrepreneur for the last seven years, Rob was used to carrying a heavy workload and was ultimately burnt out.

He recalls, “I was overwhelmed and stressed about having so much on my plate and no time or energy to get everything done. I was being reactive instead of proactive and only putting out fires when I knew I should be building my business.”

Finding Someone Right For the Role

Rob realized he was spending his time on tasks that a trustworthy person could easily manage, so he reached out to the Great Assistant Program to find someone right for the role.

“I loved the idea of having someone to manage my emails and tighten up my calendar to avoid wasted time between calls,” he remembers.

Making the Match

In spring 2020, Rob was matched with Great Assistant, Brandon, who had previous experience as an Executive Assistant and is fluent in Spanish (Rob’s special request).

After a short ramp-up period, Brandon is now doing most of Rob’s day-to-day minutiae, including screening emails, website updates, managing the online shopping cart, and calendar management.

Rob has also delegated a few non-work related tasks to Brandon, such as booking personal appointments and finding a vet for his dog.

“Having My Best Year Ever”

With the help of his Great Assistant, Rob is now able to use his time and energy more profitably.

Rob shares, “I'm having my best year ever financially. I'm no longer overwhelmed by email and for calls and interviews, all I have to do is show up and share.

“I've got more free time than I have had in the previous 13 years of trying to run my business without a Great Assistant. This has given me much more time with my family and to focus on my health.”

Rob’s Advice to Others Considering Hiring a Great Assistant:

“If you're on the fence, you're wasting precious time that you could be working on your business rather than in your business.
“It's a small time commitment at first, but it pays HUGE dividends quickly. I highly recommend you talk with someone at the Great Assistant Program to find out if you're ready to free up your time and energy to build your business.”
