Breathless Trying To Manage It All Herself
Amy Taft is the owner of Trinity Professional Counseling Services. She provides mental health counseling services, specializing in Christian counseling and works with individuals with a variety of backgrounds.
Amy was facing a busy time professionally and personally. She was in the process of moving from solo practitioner to a group practice, hiring new clinicians, moving to a new house, and getting ready for her maternity leave. She knew she couldn’t manage it all herself.
She recalls, “At the time, I didn’t realize how many hats I was trying to wear. As a therapist, I was caring for my patients, and I was also handling all the administrative tasks, and making executive decisions for my business.”
Amy was also stuck in a ‘boom-bust pattern’ with her caseload, which she considered to be the biggest challenge.
“I would do some marketing to build my caseload, and would then be too busy with clients to give my attention to more marketing. I would wrap-up with my clients and would again need to focus on marketing to rebuild my caseload.”
Hiring the Right Person, The First Time
After hearing a presentation from Great Assistant founder, Tim Francis, Amy decided it was time to invest in the help she needed.
Amy remembers, “With everything going on, I knew I needed help and didn’t have time to get it wrong. I needed to hire the right person the first time.”

With the help of her Great Assistant, Amy now feels confident and comfortable going into her maternity leave. “We’re in our groove now and it’s pretty lovely,” Amy notes.
